About Reclaim My Life

In 2025, we were given the profound honor of becoming the new owners and house managers of Reclaiming My Life—a women’s sober living home founded by Tammy Lofink, Executive Director of Rising Above Addiction. Tammy and Erin have known each other for many years, and for the past two years, Erin served as the house manager of Reclaiming My Life. When Tammy, her husband Dennis, and their daughter Leah relocated to California, she entrusted us with continuing the work that began with her family’s unimaginable loss.

Reclaiming My Life was created in memory of Tammy’s son, Robert Mason Lofink, who passed away at eighteen from a fatal overdose. The home’s initials, RML, honor Robert’s name and spirit. His story is at the heart of this house, and it is our privilege to carry that legacy forward with compassion, integrity, and purpose.

Rising Above Addiction has played a vital role in Carroll County, Maryland since 2015—supporting youth and young adults affected by substance use, advocating for life-changing legislation, and providing treatment, education, and recovery resources. Reclaiming My Life is one of the organization’s most meaningful achievements: a safe, loving, twelve-step-based sober living environment for women rebuilding their lives.

As individuals in 12-step recovery ourselves, we understand firsthand the courage, vulnerability, and hope that recovery requires. Our commitment is to preserve everything this home was built on—accountability, community, and unconditional support—while honoring Robert’s memory in the everyday work of helping women reclaim their lives.

We are grateful for Tammy’s trust, for the foundation Rising Above Addiction has built, and for the opportunity to continue this mission. It is our privilege to walk beside each woman who enters RML as she begins her journey toward healing, sobriety, and a life full of possibility.
